At Miles Property Management, our team is passionate about helping Rental Providers protect and grow their investments while ensuring Renters feel supported in their homes. We recently sat down with Jessica Bryceson, Property Manager here at Miles, to learn more about what inspires her in the role and the value she brings to her clients everyday.
What first sparked your interest in real estate and property management?
My dad and I have shared an interest in real estate for many years. We’re always sending properties to each other and trying to find the most unique homes out there. That interest naturally grew over time and eventually led me into the industry.
What qualities do you think make a great property manager?
There is always room for improvement, but I think one of my strengths is that I’m a glass-half-full type of person. I also genuinely care about both my owners and my Renters. Striking that balance is really important in property management.
What are the most rewarding parts of helping Rental Providers manage their investments?
One of the most rewarding parts is being able to educate our clients. In this role you learn so much over time, and that knowledge allows you to guide owners through situations or issues that arise. Helping them make informed decisions about their property is really valuable.
Having grown up locally, how does your knowledge of the area help your clients?
I grew up in the Banyule area, so having that local knowledge is really helpful. Understanding the different pockets of the area means I can often give more insight into the quality of properties and how their location may influence demand or value.
What do you enjoy about being part of the team at Miles?
Our team is incredibly supportive. We’re all here to achieve the same goal, but we each bring different strengths and approaches to our roles. Those differences really complement each other and make us a strong team.
What motivates you in your role each day?
My genuine interest in real estate definitely helps. When you enjoy what you do, it makes a big difference. That passion makes the day-to-day challenges easier and keeps me motivated to do the best job I can for my clients.
